What does the Qur'an says about death?

Suratul Abasa Vs 20-22

ثُمَّ ٱلسَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُۥ ٢٠

  1. Then He makes the way easy for them,

ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُۥ فَأَقْبَرَهُۥ ٢١

  1. then causes them to die and be buried.

ثُمَّ إِذَا شَآءَ أَنشَرَهُۥ ٢٢

  1. Then when He wills, He will resurrect them./red

How the Companions of the Prophet feared what comes after the death

Uthman Ibn Affan once stood by the grave till his beard became wet, he was asked why when he hears about paradise and hellfire, he does not cry, but he cries when the grave was mentioned. He cries because the grave is a lonely place that can either be a garden for someone or a pit from the pits of hellfire

In Islam, we are taught that there will be questions in the grave

  1. Who is your Lord?
  2. What is your Deen?
  3. is your Prophet?

When we die, all things will leave you except 3 things

  1. Sadaqatun Jaariyah
  2. A good deed he has done while he was alive
  3. A righteous son praying for him

When you die, you will be bathed and shrouded

when you were in the world, you do all things yourself, choosing your spec, examine yourself in front of the mirror. But now, you can't do those anymore, you can't even raise your eyes, nor can you raise your index finger.

When you were born,

people are happy, but when you die, people cry for you not because of what they think you will face in the grave, but because of how they will miss you, the money they won't get from you anymore.

When you leave,

your people are the ones that will bury you with their hands, they will pour the sands on you...
